The March 26 “Know Your Rights / Conoce Tus Derechos” webinar, presented by Hudson County in collaboration with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the American Institute for Immigration Law and Policy (AIILP), provides residents with essential information on immigration-related rights and protections. Led by experienced immigration attorneys, the session covers practical guidance on how to respond to encounters with immigration enforcement and how to understand legal rights in different scenarios. Presented in both English and Spanish, the webinar aims to equip Hudson County’s diverse community with clear, actionable knowledge and resources to navigate real-life situations with confidence.
The session addresses key topics such as the difference between judicial and administrative warrants, how to respond to immigration enforcement encounters at home, work, or in public, and strategies for protecting businesses, families, and neighbors. The webinar also discusses recent Hudson County executive actions under County Executive Craig Guy, aimed at limiting cooperation with federal immigration enforcement and strengthening support within the community.

This event intends to empower community members with practical knowledge on how to respond to ICE and support immigrants in ways that feel safe and effective.
Know Your Rights Training for Asian American Business Owners and Employers

This virtual program addresses growing concerns among small business owners and entrepreneurs in New Jersey regarding increased immigration enforcement and the legal responsibility employers may face during workplace inspections or visits by immigration authorities.
The session covers key legal rights, protections, and resources available to business owners as they respond to heightened ICE activity across the state.
The training is presented in partnership with the American Immigration Lawyers Association New Jersey Chapter (AILA - New Jersey), and AAPI New Jersey as part of a broader effort to provide legal education and raise awareness about immigrant rights.
